When I watch movies made in the 70’s and 80’s they always have the same theme whenever a young couple goes on a date. The main staples of these themed dates are burgers and fries, ice cream, and bowling. If you are feeling nostalgic for the good old days than here is a great date to consider.
First, burgers are of most importance. Koppe Bridge offers good tasting burgers and fries that are reasonably priced. There are two locations with one located on Harvey Rd. past the movie theatre and the second is located on Wellborn in between 2818 and Rock Prairie.
Since both you and your date are so full the only way to logically work it off is to go bowling. Wolf Pen Creek Bowling Center is located on Highway 6 headed South. It is past Holleman and next to Cavender’s. The bowling alley is currently undergoing renovations, but it is still a lot of fun to go to. There are new t.v. screens to see who is bowling worst and the alleys even contain speedometers to see how fast your ball is going.
After a fun game of bowling the next stop on our journey to the past is to get some ice cream. Shake’s offers a wide variety of ice cream flavors and combinations. Shake’s is located at the intersection of University and Tarrow right across the street from Golden Corral.
I hope this date brings back fond memories and allows you to create some nice new ones. |
